With an objective to provide a platform for positive learning environment where every member can exploit their leadership skill and speaking ability, Pax Earth has been organizing Toastmaster programme for the few months. After the successful organization of 1st Toastmaster Programme 3 months ago, Pax Earth conducted 2nd Pax Earth Toastmaster Programme on Saturday 31st January 2008. President Mr. Sujan Koirala handled the responsibility of both Toastmaster and Table Topic Master.
The theme of the toastmaster was YOUTH.
On the occasion, Mr. Prem Shah and Mr. Sudarshan Risal spoke on “Youth and Service” and “Scientific aspect of Palmistry” respectively in their manual speech of 5 minutes each.
Mr. Bal Gopal Shrestha, Mr. Guna Raj Pyakurel and Mr. Bijay Thapa were selected for the table topic and respectively spoke on “Imagine: if you are not here in toastmaster, what would you do?”, “Tree in front of the meeting ground” and “the toastmaster environment.” Each table topic speaker was given 3 minutes.
Evaluations have been done by Mr. Shreebatsa Basnyat (general evaluator); Harihar Sapkota (grammarian and ah counter) and Mr. Laxman Bahadur Pahari (timer). The evaluation report reveals that the speaking and presentation of the speakers have significantly improved. The evaluators have also reported each speaker positive and negative aspects of presentation and recommended ways to improve them. General evaluation of speakers and meeting has been done of TM Sujan Koirala. He is pretty satisfied with the successful organizing of the meeting as well as presentation skills of the speakers. Speakers, listeners and evaluators were very enthusiastic. They wish Pax Earth to continue this important event twice a month. Altogether 10 members participated on the program.
