Blood Donation Programme

Pax Earth Nepal, in association with Ganesh Man Singh Adhyayan Pratisthan and Nepal Blood Bank, conducted a blood donation programme at Pashupatinath temple’s main gate on Saturday November 20, 2010 during 8.30am to 12.15pm.
Including six females, twenty-nine persons donated blood at the occasion. On behalf of Pax Earth Nepal, President Sujan Koirala, Secretary Manohar Sapkota, Treasurer Bal Gopal Shrestha, Board Member Binod P. Mainali and Members Arun Khadka and Sushil Shrestha donated blood. PEN was very happy to collect 29 points blood in short period and hoped that the collected blood will help in saving life of some patients.
At the programme, Manohar, Bal Gopal, Bijaya Thapa, Sushil and Binod encouraged the devotees for the donation, managed the queue and offered the juice and snacks to the donors while Sujan looked after the registration.
A doctor and two nurses from Nepal Blood Bank carried out all necessary medical tasks and effectively managed the donation process. PEN highly appreciated the active role played by the doctor and nurses and thanked all the donors (including its members) for their generosity.
Honorary Member Nilambar Badal availed this opportunity for PEN after negotiations with Ganeshman Singh Adhyayan Prathisthan and Nepal Blood Bank. Without active and effective role of Sujan, Manohar Bal Gopal, Bijaya Thapa, Sushil and Binod, the programme would not be successful. Vice President Shreebatsa Basnyat and Member Prem Shah also helped in managing the programme. Some youths volunteers from Jayabageshwori Youth Club also supported us in organizing the programme. PEN also thanked them for their sincere support.
